Jared Poche of LSU threw a no hitter with a 79 pitch outing which was the first in 38 years. It was the first individual no-hitter since March 14, 1979. It was also LSU baseball’s 2500th program win. Poche cruised through Army’s lineup in a fairly quiet game besides the sensational plays by Kraemer Robertson to help preserve Poche’s no-hitter. Congrats to Jared Poche and LSU!

I have been rather tough on Jared Porche pitching mechanics in the article I wrote last year in what I believe is flawed mechanics. He does have a timing/rushing problem however I do wish him continued success. If he does not fix this problem he will have some issues towards the end of the season. Till next time!
